Hello there, Fluttershy750, sorry it's been a while since we've spoken but since you've requested a critique of your work I was happy to oblige you! So here goes another Critique from the Horse and Pony Show brought to you by UkuleleMoon

Well let me tell you viewers a little bit about Libertine. Libertine is a very original character when it comes in terms of the pony fandom. A little dark but not overly so. A great color palette and an interesting cutie mark. I scored this a little higher in the vision department because I think based on the sketch, knowing the previous history of the character that the artist has captured the attitude of Libertine. The sketch its self deserves some high makes because it is so very detailed.

I think sometimes when we vector a picture we tend to cheap out on the details. Her technique is strong here. Libertine has a classic look and the rolly polly body makes the subject look unique from the rest of the fandom. I like the fact that the back left leg has the detail of the hoof on the bottom. That's a nice touch and makes the piece look less flat. That's a common problem with vectored pieces.

I think the two front hooves look a little too uneven. The one that is on the ground has a funny bump to it and I would have made it straighter myself. The one that is raised could use a tiny bit of shortening. The main and tail are very solid. I think this picture would benefit from some shading as well. I like depth to my pieces and think that this character would have looked even better and popped had Libertine had more shading!

The impact is phenomenal. I like how there is a devious look of "Who gives a $%^?" to Libertine's facial expression. If you've spoken with this artist or RP'd with the OC, then you know exactly why Libertine is making that face! Fantastic work!
